Our story

1998

The Beginnings

Progest Construction was founded by Michel Gilmour, who set up his first offices on Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges in Montreal. With a team of three employees, the company initially specialized in residential renovation. Towards the end of the 1990s, Progest shifted towards commercial construction by carrying out several fit-outs for La Baie stores in Montreal.

2000

Expansion & Opportunism

The turn of the millennium marks a turning point for Progest, which now benefits from a reputation that opens new doors. Taking advantage of the commercial development of the Laurentians, the company establishes itself as a leader in the region by carrying out various commercial projects, stores and restaurants, including the emblematic restaurant La Forge. In parallel, although the residential sector is less and less of a priority, Progest continues to deliver large-scale chalets in the region.

2010

A Strong Network & Diversification

Thanks to a loyal circle of clients and partners, Progest obtains several mandates for renovation and office layout in the Greater Montreal area. From its recent head office in Anjou, the company refines its expertise in this field. Always at the forefront, Progest partners with architectural and design firms, exposing it to new horizons.

Sustained Growth

Now with a strong team of more than twenty employees, Progest moves to Ste-Rose, Laval. The diversification of skills allows the company to tackle large-scale projects in the public and institutional sectors, thus consolidating its status as a seasoned contractor in the market.
